Our colleague Agiatis Benardou will be the moderator of the round table “Digital Humanities: Is Music part of them?” at the international conference organized by IAML Greece on 27 and 28 April 2018.
The Digital Curation Unit, with our colleague Maria Ilvanidou, traveled to Berlin and the Alexander von Humboldt Institut für Internet und Gesellschaft, to participate at the “Enable Babel” workshop organized by Pelagios Commons on 20-22 February 2018.
The kick off meeting of the “APOLLONIS: Greek Infrastructure for Digital Arts, Humanities and Language Research and Innovation” project was held at the Athena Research Center on 5-6 February 2018. During the two-day meeting, all project partners came together to discuss and establish a detailed strategic plan, while various working groups were formed.

On 6 September at the National Library of Greece, our DCU colleague Agiatis Benardou is representing DARIAN –EU at the “Open Science Fair 2017” Workshop entitle: “Research Lifecycle in the Humanities and Social Science”.
In collaboration with the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Association of Greek Archaeologists, the Digital Curation Unit, IMIS-Athena R.C. is organizing a Training School on Archaeological Research – knowledge production and the digital environment in the context of the COST-ARKWORK network (“COST Action COST-ARKWORK CA15201 Training School 2017”).
On 13-14 June at the Faculty of Archaeology at Leiden University, Europeana and CARARE are organizing a two-day workshop.
The Digital Humanities Centre at the Institute of Literary Research, Polish Academy of Sciences hosted in May 7-8 the DARIAH DiMPO Workshop.
This year’s DARIAH-EU Annual Event will take place 26-27 April, Berlin, Germany. The DARIAH-EU Annual Event includes various interesting keynote lectures as well as interactive sessions which aim to bring together researchers, technologists, data scientists and cultural heritage professionals.
The 9th RDA Plenary Meeting takes place from 5th to 7th April 2017 at the Barcelo Sants Hotel, Barcelona, Spain. The plenary meeting is organised by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) with the support of RDA Europe.
