The talk briefly overviews the basics of RDF and Linked Data, then examines the issues that are standing in the preservation of Linked Data datasets. Namely, it discusses basic requirements of making an OAIS archival information package out of a Linked Data datasets, then it systematically reviews the possible changes that may impact on an archived Linked Data datasets and discusses how that impact can be coped with.

Carlo Meghini
Carlo Meghini has carried out research in the area of information systems, starting with databases, then moving on to multimedia information retrieval, and finally to digital libraries. He has worked on the theoretical aspects of information modelling of these three fields, using mathematical logic as a modelling language and computational complexity as an evaluation tool.

Parallel to this theoretical stream of work, he has carried out an applied stream of work, aimed at transfering the results of research into prototypical information systems, used in various application fields. This applied activity has been carried out in the context of projects, mostly international, funded by the European Commission. As his career progressed, he has moved towards leading roles in these projects, culminated in the Coordination of PRELIDA, an FP7 Coordination Action on the preservation of Linked Data ended in 2014.
